Narrow Gauge South West is the largest all narrow gauge model railway exhibition held in the UK each year. It is hosted by the Small & Delightful Railway Group and is usually held on the 3rd Saturday of February each year.
The exhibition is held at Whitstone School, Shepton Mallet, Somerset, BA4 5PF.
The exhibition is affectionately known by a number of other names such as ‘S&D’, Small & Delightful or simply ‘Shepton or Shepton Mallet’
The event usually has over 20 layouts and is well supported by over 25 specialised narrow gauge traders and the national Societies/Associations.
The purpose of the event is show both narrow gauge modelling enthusiasts and the wider public, the very best layouts available and perhaps more importantly provide exhibitors and visitors with a very enjoyable day out.

The 2012 show on 18th February 2012, will be a very special show as it is the 20th anniversary of the founding of the Small & Delightful Railway Group. The exhibition will be doubled in size and have between 40- 50 layouts. There will be theme where the majority of the layouts will be ‘Small layouts’ typically around 8 ft or less in length.
